The Clubhouse now offers Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments. This is one of the latest technologies in anti-aging therapies. The process involves a simple blood draw with as little as a teaspoon of your own blood. We only use clean PRP, meaning there are no chemicals or additives. The platelets are the extracted and injected to stimulate stem cell migration to the area. This painless process takes approximately 20 minutes. At The Clubhouse, Dr. Rowe uses your bodies own regenerative properties to treat wrinkles about the lips, nose, neck, hair natural hair growth and even acne scars. The treatment can also be used to improve skin tone, color and overall condition. An exciting new use for PRP therapy is for the treatment of male and female hair loss.
Platelet rich plasma is concentrated blood plasma which contains roughly three-to-five times the number of platelets found in normal blood. This plasma also contains platlet, vascular, and transforming growth factors and proteins that aid in wound healing and potential hair growth.
We have also learned in recent studies that platelet rich plasma can serve as a safe and effective treatment option for male and female hair loss. Through concentrating and enriching ones platelet count, the body’s ability to heal and grow can be accelerated.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is commonly used in hair restoration. To obtain PRP, a patient’s blood is spun in a centrifuge in order to separate the solid and liquid components and platelet activators are then added. The separated solid portion of the blood is the platelet rich plasma.
From there, platelet rich plasma is then placed into a syringe and reintroduced into the treatment site, such as a scalp. PRP may also be sprayed onto the recipient area during and after a hair transplant, injected directly into a balding scalp, or laid into the donor incision.
While used to stimulate hair growth, we will work with you to schedule injections at intervals of one to nine months depending on your personal treatment plan. Improvement can be expected within the first two to six months. It is generally recommended for the treatment process to be periodically continued to maintain improvement in hair restoration.
